Been loads of conversation on tyres in the time I have been a member of this forum but now is the time I need to buy some (bike currently has Metzelers)
So I need a 4.10 x 18 rear and 3.60 x 19 front
The only manufacturer I have been able to find both is Dunlop £108 and £91
Can find plenty rears Metzeler Heidenau Continental Mitas Michelen (like the pattern on Metzeler and Heidenau)
Comment on the Dunlop the pattern on the front and rear look the same from the pictures I have seen
So Have I missed something
Thanks
Pete

No I don't think you have.
Metzeler used to do the correct 3.60 19 front as well and you can still get the 4.10 18 rear from them although these tyres are intended as a TL (tubeless) tyre only rather than the Dunlop TT (Tube Type).
There are some old stock but still recent and safe Metzeler fronts kicking around somewhere apparently - although I am not privy to where they are.

upload multiple imagesMichelin pilot activ the sizes on these are deceptive ,the front is a 3.25 x 19 and is a very close fit to the mudguard if you went 3.60 with Michelins i think you'd struggle the tyre on the rear is a 4.00 x18 again about as big as you can go I suspect all the michelin range will be similar size wise, plus point these tyres can be used tubed or tubeless

I am using Avon road riders, 90/90-19 front and 100/90-18 rear (they are tubeless, I have got a deluxe), they fit well and handle well but when they get older they sometimes develop fine cracks on the side walls.

Ok Guys Help needed, this is doing my head in.
as you know i am trying to restore an old SD 1980 NA
the tyres currently on the bike are as follows:
Front 100/90 H19 (4.10) Rear 100/90 H18 (4.10)
I must admit i didn't expect tyres to hold me up on this process but it would seem quite a challenge to get the same as what i have got for a reasonable cost.
the problem is, i had already fitted my aftermarket fender which has about half an inch clearance from the current front tyre.
what is the cheapest set i can get that will fit ?

These tyres are widely available but I went for Dunlops to manufacturers spec in the end - the front you have is 100/90 Ithink 90/90 is nearer the original size but I may be wrong
