Hi folks,
I'm collecting a 1978 400N on Friday - very excited. It's looks in great condition. I plan to keep it locked away for the winter and only take it out on a RIDEOUT event or a lovely summer evening/weekend like today.
Question is, what are the best basic things I need to do to keep the bodywork and engine in good condition. i.e best storage (I've got a non-heated warehouse) and as for the drive-train should I take it for a ride out once/twice or monthly?

For the storage
non-heated is good, as long as there is no condensation. Indoor breathable dust cover perhaps.
Keep the fuel tank near full and use low ethanol petrol, BP ultimate (or no ethanol petrol).
Check the Brake pistons have some silicon grease behind the boots, to avoid getting corrosion bands on the pistons.
Don't have to go a run, just start and put it in first so the clutch does not stick over a period of time.
Run the engine long enough, so that when it's stopped its temperature will evaporate any moisture.
