Dear all, I was stupid enough to try to JB Weld the thread of the oil plug, I even tested it before assembly, and it was holding hot fluid just fine. What I did not count on was, that heat cycles will destroy the JB Weld, now only after three rides the bike leaks like a sodding sieve Given, that a local guy is selling a bottom case for like 20 pounds, I could have gotten that and now have a complete piece of mind. So all that work dismantling the bike and reassembling again (a lot of work for me, a good day and a half), with all the semi-stripped carb boot bolts, rusty collector box etc. it is going to be fun... Anyway, whilst I dismember the poor bike again, I might as well replace the oil seals, all of them, as I have noticed a droplet or two of loose oil after these three rides. Now, the final drive seal seems to be an easy swap, and if the gear selector is out of the case, that is simple too. But how to replace the crankshaft seal? Obviously half of it is free, but is it easy to slide off the shaft and put the other one in? Also, I have got the HOnda ref. numbers for them from cmsnl, but I have noticed for ex. that the final drive seal has got the NOK ref. number, given, that the local Honda stealer asks a lot for the 'Honda' OEM seals it would be possibly cheaper to get the seals from the seal people... Do you happen to know the makers and reference numbers of those three (plus one)? Thanks! Gabriel
