Hi Guys
Last year I aquired a fairly nice 400 it's a B reg in Burgundy with gold wheels and forks. The thing is I'm not overly keen on the colour, what I really want is one of the traditional colours that takes me back to the day, I can't say I'd ever seen a burgundy one before I got this one and so it doesn't transport me back in time.
What is the general consensus of opinion on having a bike resprayed in the right/wrong colour for the year? not to mention that I think the 250's came in slightly better schemes than the 400.
Silver or metallic blue are favourite.
My mate says it is a special edition and a respray would spoil it's future value,
what do you guys think? I have read a lot of posts on here and you clearly know your onions, your opinions would be very welcome.

Its your bike at the end of the day if you're planning on keeping it spray it whatever colour you like but if you think you may be selling then correct colour schemes are the way to go as they command the best prices .From a personal point of view mine has been Black and two different shades of Green and now its Red but I'm not parting with it  |

Is there a colour/year list anywhere. I have googled but to no avail, I have found photos by year for my other bikes.
And yes I could paint it any colour I like but the potential of selling it in the future is on my mind, as they become more classic and valuable so people become more particular.
I was impressed by the level of knowledge and detail with regards to the silver 3 miler that was possibly new possibly a resto on a post here, very impressed.

It looks as though it has hints of silver though terry had to but the bit of silver on to slow it down somewhat, now that its red the power is almost too much for a mere mortal to handle... |

It was unwise to use silver striping on it IMHO.
The extra power blew the sprocket oil seal.....and I'm sitting here asking myself 'what will go next?'

he is better just firing 1 rocket when he gets to 90 MPH red ones dont need stripes to slow them down they have parachutes
