Arthritus can affect you at any age even teenagers,of the two types rheumatoid is the more crippling and osteo more common and not as disabling.I'm just in early stages in my right hand, had it few years in knees/hips.Riding my Harley really aggravates it as have to hang on harder due to wind trying to pull me off bike, speaking of pulling off Fungo could that be a factor in your problem ?

I had tasters for most of the joints I'm suffering with now 20 years ago, in my 40s, but after a while they went into hibernation till I reached 60

I picked up a GS500E on Friday and it's not generally a bike that has a 'stiff' clutch...it certainly feels smooth. It was a chilly-ish day (for the time of year) and I was wearing gloves this time - as of course one should.
My left hand gave me jip around halfway through the ride that day (around 30 miles I reckon). Hence the question.

as far as i know osteo is put down to normal wear&tear rheumatoid is a lot worse but can be controlled if you catch it early enough so you dont get the twisting joints etc my wife has rheumatoid but caught it early enough you can still seefingers and toes go into funny positions but they go back to normal after a while
