Put a make an offer on their ad then don't acknowledge it with an accepted or declined, what is the point of it?

I wouldn't mind so much if I'd got yes or no but its when they don't say anything its annoying.
Especially as i wanted the item and so had to pay full price, if I hadn't needed it they could have gone to hell for not replying.😈

No rules on Ebay any more. I just sold the hard top off the Navara this morning. Some clever twat offered me a stupidly low bid even though it was a fixed price sale with no offers. Whilst I was composing a suitable f**k off message someone else sneaked in and paid full price. Serves him right. Now he is messaging me that he was before the other guy!
My view is if the seller has a make offer option then he is just that- open to offers. You would be a fool if you did not then offer 10-15% below the asking price. It's the "buyers" who offer you less than half what you are asking that annoy me. And remember if it's a trade or experienced seller with a few items with make offer- Ebay lets him set up auto reject, auto accept and hold for review levels. i use this to auto-reject stupid offers.

I do not do much selling on auction sites but I am sorry I do put silly bids in and if I am told to boil my head I do not take offense,a item is only worth what you get for it.ihave had some good buys on shpock just latley out your way again crouchyuk Scunthorpe got about a grands worth of machine tools for £30 here husband worked at the steel works she said she had no idea what she had.

Just bought a bike I saw on Bumtree, made guy an offer within 3 hours of it going live but by then he'd accepted a lower offer from a fleabay buyer (it was on fleabay too but I didn't see it) a week went by and he contacted me saying the fleabay buyer had ignored all attempts to close deal so was offering it to me,I bagged it for less than my original offer point is there are a lot of pricks on fleabay.I had 53 watchers on my recent attempt to sell my Hawk but only one piss taker made an offer!!! Wankers.Selling my Superdream next few weeks, will be prepared lol.

Yes Mark I've had the "fantastic" offers from these twats, also had the offers of asking price will pay by PayPal and my courier will collect etc etc. Guess there must be some gullible idiots amongst us that fall for these scams. What happened to putting advert in local paper and doing bit of bartering with the odd tyre kicker lol.
