Hmmm... So what do you think- genuine time-warp as it came out of the factory?

I imagine there must have been a certain amount of restoration to get it to that condition. To my untrained eye the finish on the fork bottoms and engine side cases doesn't look right the side cases should be brighter than the crank cases and the forks had a brushed finish. That said it is one hell of a Superdream and whoever done the restoration done a great job. It would be a dear ornament though. Spot on Harold- it's a very fine bike and a credit to whoever restored it. But it is far from original though- a couple of other things apart from your observations make me a little wary of the 3 miles claim. My pet hate- handlebar clamps upside down

You can build a story out of giving a good look at. Yes the engine covers have been redone, same as the fork bottoms.
But what really worries me is the pattern decals. Look at the tailpiece- which Ebay decal seller does those shorter tail feathers- they should go all the way to the top? Don't let Fungo see! And new decals are often put on after a respray. The silver does look a bit off, maybe bad colours in the photo though.
So we have a 2.6 miler being presented as a "new" bike, but has had a respray, pattern decals, re-done engine parts, etc.... Again- hmmmm....

Those handle bar clamps have been put on oddly, one up and one down... Wounder how much they are asking for? As they show the prices up to 19K lol

He is not presenting it as a new bike his add state's it's a 1979 registered and only dun 2 1\2 miles up to 2016 when they put another mile on it at the show ground.this guy looks like a car dealer it looks like he as had a trip to the Powder coaters tipical car dealer .He should have left it alone.the onley way to criticize this bike is to see it in the flesh.are thay the tyres fitted to that model .With what this guy is selling in his stock he can probably back his clames I might be wrong but if it is it's the most original 250 superdream in the country.shame he as mest with it

fork yoke and clamps are gloss and they should be satin! wiring from switch gear is in wrong place! blue battery hose ! caliper looks savaged by bleed nipple ! aswell as all the other stuff mentioned but no getting away from the fact that it is very clean!

Tyres do look like Yoko Speedlines though.
I think the full story would only be known by speaking to the seller- for the price he is sure to be asking the provenance and history will need to be good.

the front end as been removed from this bike probably to do the fork seals the oil would have separated and turned to jelly that length of time and while it was in bits in his eyes a tidy up honda are very fickle on paint the bottom yoke are not exactly overwhelmed with it.this is just a old japanese motorbike in his eyes that would not be given the time of day if not for the condition i do not know what he wants for it and do not care .who ever buys it will not ride it it will sit in someones private collection till it pops back on the internet whatever years from now.i have told my offspring mine go up the chimney with me like the vikings with their longships i bet
