I remember in the early 80,s mk1 , 2 and the xr3,s everywhere , a couple of my mates had escorts , a Mexico and a rs2000 , I had a mk2 1.1 pop , a bag of sh##e and much preferred my capri,s 😉

My favourite Ford Escort has always been the RS1600i in white.
I just love the look of that car.

Found this picture of my 2nd Capri. Definitely not the best colour, all my others were black, but a thing of beauty never the less  Did 75K in 2 years, never had a problem with it, and it still drove like the day I got it, unlike any of my other work cars of that era.  |

My brother had that model escort and his foot slipped off the brake and onto the floor.. Pushing the floor pushed onto the road...
Flintstones style.. I always fancied the 280 brooklands capri, or a black 78 "S"
