I remember in the early 80,s mk1 , 2 and the xr3,s everywhere , a couple of my mates had escorts , a Mexico and a rs2000 , I had a mk2 1.1 pop , a bag of sh##e and much preferred my capri,s 😉

My favourite Ford Escort has always been the RS1600i in white.

Found this picture of my 2nd Capri. Definitely not the best colour, all my others were black, but a thing of beauty never the less Did 75K in 2 years, never had a problem with it, and it still drove like the day I got it, unlike any of my other work cars of that era.

My brother had that model escort and his foot slipped off the brake and onto the floor.. Pushing the floor pushed onto the road... Flintstones style.. I always fancied the 280 brooklands capri, or a black 78 "S"
