Me and my 7 year old son are up early to collect a van and have a run up to London Thursday morning
to collect our new 250na for restoration, I am hoping to introduce him to the delights of mucking about with bikes

and learning how to rebuild them into something to be proud off

.who knows, maybe he will feel the love and own and ride it himself when he is old enough! Lol

i will take pic's for posting as it unravells .....

Personally, there is nothing I like better than going to pick up a Superdream - done it blind a few times as well. Something very endearing about hopping on a train to some random part of the UK and riding one back.

I don't have a van or trailer so any bike I buy I have to ride home. As fungo says there is quite a thrill to be had from such a trip especially the ride back which is usually from an unfamiliar starting point.

It is more difficult these days because of the road tax system and disapperance of rider policies. There are ways round it though...

SOooooo glad to be back. Arrived at the sellers eager to see the bike

and do the deal, bike is great really pleased with it, it has been with the last owner some thirty years!

Amazing I think. It seems to have lived most of its life in a garage and this really shows in the over all condition despite its age and mileage,there is a small amount of smoke on start up but nothing that concerns me as a strip down is on the cards. Ps a new MOT has just been done on it for me....My son thinks its fanbloodytastic! And he has claimed it as his own.

I have taken some photos on my IPad, I will try and work out how to upload them soon,ok.
