Is it safe to assume this tyre was produced during week 25 of 2005?

Good stuff. It can be quite confusing on some of the tyres - trying to work out the date of production.

Question is FB will you be using them at 11+ years old ? In my experience some makes appear to age differently to others , at least as far as visible cracking is concerned , what goes on with the internal cords etc is pure guess work .
I have to admit to using tyres older than ten years that looked good but I have also replaced the tyres on the wifes car at less than three years old due to cracking between the treads .

This is one that is being advertised on flea bay. On a Super Dream it would not worry me as much but as these are tyres destined for a Suzi Bandit then I have to get new (or as recent as I can get). Finding new discontinueded tyres is a challenge but I always get there in the end.

Tyres that age wouldn't worry me on a superdream. Inspect carefully and often and i'm sure you'll be fine.
Your bandit is a different animal. Capable of 120+, good rubber is a must.

Had a very interesting chat with an old school Essex bike dealer recently about the Bridgestone BT56...which happens to be the original fitment on one of my Bandits.
