Wifey took me on an early birthday trip today to the Honda museum of David Silver in Leiston. I really enjoyed the visit and there are around 150 bikes to drool over which is still only a small number of what Honda made but a good potted history which is very well presented. Definitely worth the visit. A Honda SS505-speed was my first bike at 16yrs of age. I also had the 400 version of this several years back, until a wall fell on it. I blame Michael Fish. Only one Super dream in the museum.

Autumn 1987....I still recall it now. Mike Fish says something like " we've just had a call from a woman in Kent who has heard there is a hurricane on the way.....ha ha - don't worry, there isn't." The following morning, half the country was demolished.

Yeah that's right. Mum lost about 50ft of wall in the night. It was actually the year later when the remaining piece of wall was blown down in gusts onto my Dream 400. It was in a lovely bergundy colour with highly polished cases and a throaty Marshal 2-1 exhaust. I got fed up and gave it to a mate to play with. Good bike though at the time.

It could of been worse though - it could of happened to a Super Dream. Very unfortunate though.

Now that is nice, Paul...
Seems to be lacking the frame clutch cable guide, and the front tyre is too big.....but that was literally a 2 minute scan of the image. Nice one.....one that I'd be proud to own for sure.

The kickstart insert (plug) is also missing...... Heat shield screw missing. Is it me or is the tank decal running down slightly back to front?
