Hi everyone a merry festive Christmas to you all. I'm 66 and have been riding since 1968 and have had a few bikes. One of these was the CB400N that I bought new in 1979. I only kept it for about 3 years but for me at that time it was the best of the best. Well I have had to stop riding (hopefully this will be reversed after a operation I'm due in January), so I'm looking to buy another Superdream so I can work on. I'm by no means a mechanic but over all the years I have had bikes have done quite a few jobs, a clutch on a scooter, new pistons on others, but I have never done the lot all at once. I think I can do it! It's going to take a while but time's not a problem. I'm sure I will be posting a lot of questions on this site. If anyone knows of a bike that is in need of a lot of work it would be great. Thanks for letting me join your group.

Thank you for your welcome words. I'm not too bothered about whether the bike is a 250 or 400. I do have to wait until I have had the op.

Welcome John, what part of South Wales are you from? I know of a 400 coming up for sale soon in Barry but I don't think it needs a lot of work doing, I'll keep my eyes open for you.
Cheers,
Fordy

Hi again and sorry for taking time in replying. I live in Llanelli just west of the DVLA centre. I'm due for my op on the 5th of Jan and I'm told that I'll be in for about 2 weeks and I should be back to normal in 8 weeks. That's great to know because I'm 66 now and have never been normal. Amazing what a hospital stay can do for you. Whenever I'm asked how long I'm going to be in hospital I'm reminded of Rodney Dangerfield (American comedian) who was asked the same question before he went into hospital for an op. "If I'm lucky about a week if I'm not 90 min". Makes me laugh. Fordy the 400 sounds what I'm looking for if the timing is right I will be very interested. Thanks again for all your kind welcomes.
