I'm going Dave this Sunday, I think it will be a good show as there are lots of new bikes out. I look forward to seeing the new Fireblade, Ducati Supersport and a few others. I'm also considering buying a Schuberth helmet but of course if I spot a few other bargains

I'm going Monday 21st £19.50 pre booked online & im buying new gloves & leather jacket & a few bits & bobs, beer & food is really overpriced so going to have a massive breakfast at Toby 2 miles down the road I will have to pay the overpriced beer prices but won't be having to much & Honda do free coffee on their stand so will grab a few of those

When I say, cheap like BMF used to be? I mean't the clothing as I always thought that the entry price was a rip off. I would expect to park for free.. Guess they are aiming their target audience at middle class earners...
I have not got 15 Grand for the Sunday toy.If I spend loads like 3k, on a bike I would never commute on it either. I really don't understand who they hope to sell their bikes too, at these crazy prices..

I thought that's what you meant Chris I was just having a bit of craic, to be honest I don't think the price is too bad. We have a bike show here and it was £12 in and to be honest you could probably fit it in the Honda stand at the NEC. I go over to the NEC every couple of years and enjoy it, it helps break up a long winter and I'm working class and proud of it.

BMF was great when it started Chris I first went 1977,did you go then?Turned into a big market and I haven't been for years. The NEC is not a bad day out and I agree about cost of new bikes, they're just expensive toys now lol.Bloomin cold this morning and road icy where I am so plans for early start tomorrow to go on scooter may change as forcast cold tomorrow too.

Back from NEC,saw most of it at least what I wanted to look at.A lot smaller than past years and went on me scooter for a change wet and cold but enjoyed the short ride there with a mate after a hearty breakfast in Warwick.Looking at buying a Burgman 650 and having a test ride soon, ridden my mates so know what to expect Honda stopped importing the dated Silverwing so jumping ship to Suzuki.Bought a new pinlock for me helmet,a tip don't put your gloves inside helmet you'll scratch the pinlock lol. and bought a mini tank back to hold me satnav and couple sandwiches,no pork pies on sale very disappointed

I went to the show yesterday (Sunday 20th) and really enjoyed it, had a go at the off road experience on a Triumph Tiger 800 and my mate had a go on the new Honda Africa Twin it was good fun as neither of us had ever tried off road riding. Loads of new bikes to see and I was especially taken by the new Yamaha XSR900 Arbath, not very practical but beautiful. Bought a new Schuberth Helmet, well I think I did, I paid the money for it and the guy said he would post it over as I didn't want to risk taking it on the plane as hand luggage, here's hoping it arrives Also got myself fitted for some custom fitted ear plugs by Ultimate, again paying the money and being told they would arrive after Christmas. All in all a great day, spent about 6 hours there and probably could have spent longer, but had to catch a flight home. Met some nice people from Isle of Wight, (originally from Yorkshire) and a couple from Devon all of whom had spent longer travelling to the show than we had. Well worth the entrance fee in my opinion. Have a great day Dicky

Bit of advice but I'm sure you're aware that the "show" bargains are not always that, check online on your phone before you buy and barter lot of stuff is end of line stuff they try unloading
