yes dave the guy i got it of is fanatical about his bikes and has very deep pockets ,he sold me the bike on the understanding i do not flip it,and i value my health to do that.anyway this is going to be my ride at the tt classic next year.just added up the total cost on the receipts £5.800.00 plus the cost of the bike in the first place.fantastic twin leading shoe front brake engine rebuilt to rgs spec.he is now in to his 70s failing health and a triumph man thats how i got the beesa.the the 67 t120 bonne in his hall i have got first refusal better start saving and start looking for a job for the missus

I would love a RGS remember seeing one in Eddie Dows car dealership Banbury 1981,could buy one for not a lot in 70s no one put much value on them but now approaching £30 for a genuine concourse example.

I now have two a10s really didn't want another but I know the bike and the owner but what I got it for I would have been stupid to have turned it down.was after a a65 spitfire another bike I know but don't know were he lives.it was on eBay last week got to £6,500. Reserve not met no reply to emails, probably just checking the market.the a7 a10s were at pinnacle of their development but bsa in the a50 and 65 put it into a different box and re named it.and people wonder why the British motorcycle industry went under.

I bought an early A10 with the bolt on/semi unit gearbox in 1972ish for £2.50!!! A non runner painted all over with yellow paint even the wheels, gave it to a mate but he didn't get it running,I had a 50s T110 with sprung hub given to me and I gave it to a guy who's now a millionaire, wonder if he remembers lol

no tried to buy a spitfire the other week had a thunderbolt about 30 years ago a big pile of crap through a end cap but i was in a different mindset then i think i sold it to pollards of dinnington which was the abattoir for bikes.they are a good bike when right.they are same as the a10 the crank runs on a bush on the timing side when this wheres you loose oil pressure and thats it.the engineering is out there to make the a65 a very reliable usable bike,if you find one with the timing side bearing mod the uprated oil pump eletronic ignition and the head converted to unleaded you won,t go wrong, and todays traffic a twin leading shoe front brake because the original are shit.if you want one for a ornament just find the shiniest one you can afford its probably what,s its been all its life.
