Does this stuff do what it claims on the tin? Time will tell - will let it dry off and tomorrow will douse it with some of Shell's finest unleaded. Will report back.

Interesting! Can't help thinking the "Resistant" word used as a getout though. Why not "Proof"? We will see!

I have used that stuff quite a bit. I have to say that I have never doused it with petrol, but it has been splashed with petrol and oil and has not shown any signs of distress. It seems to give a good finish. It does say to leave it 72 hours before any contact with petrol I think. Mike.

I suppose it does on brackets and similar, pretty useless for decorative items, I found, easy to get white marks when spraying on black etc..
Interested to see what you think. No substitute for genuine 2k

No substitute for genuine 2k No certainly not. At around sick squid a can of course it won't touch 2k. It will just be interesting to see how it fares.

My apologies - I forgot to update this thread. All appeared well after the dousing ceremony. I think (for the money) this is decent stuff. I am intending to use it on the centre stands on my SD's as the fuel overflow runs near there.
