big_smileI'm not moaning, bitching, being a traitor or wanting to be banned ( god that would be the quickest banning in history!!!!!!!  )but I only came in to have a look, and I'm now already a member on the list?? I probably just registered as a matter of course and became a member that way..........so would request to be um membered ( sounds painful that.... ) for the time being at least, but would like to pop in as a guest?

Sorry mate, but due to recent events I dont think just having 'guest' status is available at the moment.
That may change when things settle down..................

 ok, but I hope mr x and the rest comes over as well, he is known to some and is of good intent, if not a bit embarissed, but he can speak for himself, he is well liked.........and respected......... 8-)karma
as to job hunting....if think the country has actually had a national stroke.........recent advert seasonal staff wanted.......apply to this site or phone number or actual location, no answer from anywhere a week later, still not duties, hours, rates etc etc etc given.....so must conclude a zero hours contract with no pay which never starts or ends......and they think they can run a railway up a mountain?? so called professionals.............piss up and brewery more like! |

Hi Rich - good to hear from you.
I too wish that Mr X would come over and reveal himself - I really do!! He sounds genuine. I just wish he had maybe contacted me before the meeting on Saturday as that would have helped clarify matters. But never mind, what is done is done - but I do hope he comes over. He has no need to be embarrassed around us - he did us all a great favour by setting up the site in the first place. Without his forethought, we wouldnt be here now.
And as for job-hunting.........I just cant believe how some companies get away with it. My wife is highly qualified with two masters degrees and speaks 3 languages, but just cannot get a job in anything like her field. The closest she has managed is to work for a Tyre Machine distribution company dealing with enquiries from French speaking countries.
And she is a qualified language teacher (but unfotunately not here in the UK - they dont want her), with University teaching experience of Shakespeare and Elizabethan theatre.
