ive had a lazy tachometer since I brought my Superdream, it always comes on after about 10 seconds & I've never been worried about it as I've read on here it's a common thing, over the last few months my speedo has been getting lazy & not showing any speed for around 6 seconds after pulling away I was wondering if any others were getting this with their superdreams ?

I`ve not had that prob Rich, the 400 speedo reads a bit faster than It`s doing and I think the 250 is a bit slower but they both work from the start.

Likely to be sticky spindle inside speedo head. Strip it if you can, clean the gubbins with a little electrical cleaner and maybe some light oil.

Hi. If you don't fancy pulling it apart yourself then the link below could be useful. He did an excellent job on my Bantam speedo. www.speedorepairs.co.uk/May be of interest. Mike.
