Not wanting to repeat myself or seem to be being a "trouble maker" etc, but is that not some sort of "censorship", which was my point.
Surely one member can pm an other, at will. I am "logged in" so I am a member? right?
My intentions are only to help, but this place being the forum it is, his queries have been answered ( bike died overnight etc. electrics working not not, that thread ) and the sd in question is alive and well??

I think PM's are sent occasionally- I do when it's not appropriate to do otherwise? But in general discussion surely the idea is to let everyone have the benefit of the advice?
Just cannot understand why you want to respond to every thread with a PM TBH?...

Censorship definition (kindly borrowed from Wiki), Rich: "Censorship is the suppression of free speech, public communication or other information which may be considered objectionable, harmful, sensitive, politically incorrect or inconvenient as determined by governments, media outlets, authorities or other groups or institutions".So correct me if I am wrong......but to want to email someone in private and not offer a reply to (and let us remember) an already public request for help via a public post and not started via PM is actually where the censorship would take place? So by you wanting to PM a response to Terry (Snake) you would be censoring us all from viewing the information? Just sayin' loike......take a chill pill Rich and continue to share you knowledge rather than trying to cause ill feeling on this forum. I think we all had a gut full of that sh*te - please don't drag us back to it. People used to enjoy your posts - come back and start posting like you used to - that's what members want - not the cloak and dagger rubbish.

Rich- I am not an admin and I don't make the decisions around here. But we have 630 members and over 8,000 threads with nearly 75,000 posts and only you are p**sing me off right now.
You went doolally a while back on here ranting and raving and obviously had some personal problems with this forum, the history of this forum, the staff of this forum, some members of this forum, some members of a previous forum, life in general, the colours of the sky, etc. etc. Then you just disappeared for months. Some of your friends on here were quite concerned about you I think. And you seem to now be an admin and/or owner of another Superdream "forum"- the Superdream Factotium or something? What's that all about?
And the only time you re-appear on here now is to kick off again about some slight or offence you have taken about all or some of the above or how you are being treated?
Bluntly. I think you are being treated with fairness and a great deal of slack in continuing to be allowed to take part and contribute at all. So..... take part and contribute. Move on.
Read the threads and posts, reply and join in- as I have said before, I am sure you have something to contribute. But please watch some of your advice to the newer and less experienced members as some of your....extensive advice is inaccurate. Again- because we want you to feel welcome and involved I certainly have held back correcting you so as to not cause offence. Because you take offence far too easily.
So if you want to be a member of THIS forum then welcome and let's get discussing SD's and hopefully helping each other get the best out of these fantastic bikes. If you just want your 10 minutes of fame and drag up all the past and he said this, and you said that- yada, yada, yada? I would rather you just f**k off and leave us to it.
Sorry to offend anyone and especially you mate, but I am fed up with this.

In a word Rich - not at the moment.......no. But be active here again and gain everyone's trust - and all importantly help all your fellow enthusiasts......and that no would become a yes. You have been given a second chance before. People do not want to log on here to hear you raving about nonsense. You want a permanent ban then you are going the right way about it. Every forum has rules and lines.....and you have crossed one already but still you were given another chance. Read my post again (above) that I posted early this morning and try and digest it as best you can. Let it go or else. |
