As my 250n is still not on the road I went out on my s1000rr and stopped for petrol on the M4. Not paying attention I filled up, paid and drove off towards Bristol only to have the bike cough and splutter to a stop.... yes I had.... checked the receipt and I'd filled with Ultimate Diesel arrghhhhh! Turned out to be my most expensive tank of fuel ever! 100% my fault but the arrangement of the pumps at the Moto stop didn't exactly guard against such stupidity. Diesel clearly labelled in Black on the left, but on the far right where I assumed Premium Unleaded was to be had.... Many thanks to kind biker and van driver who stopped to check if I needed anything.

Oops that happens a lot believe it or not ! I used to have a diesel car and a petrol car & as my wife hates getting fuel it's always left to me & one day I put petrol in the diesel one by mistake I noticed before starting it so I pushed it to a spare space & then managed to get it drained myself as I've big containers at home still cost me a tank full of wasted fuel though

My wife also refuses to fill up so 100% of all refills are down to me... which is why being such an expert I feel even more the ultimate dipstick for having made such a stupid mistake! Cost £261 to have the BMW dealer get the bike running again.

Yes it is down to me to fill up the cars and bikes. Just bought the wife a Yaris Hybrid so hopefully won't need filling with petrol very often now.
Cheers Chris J.
