I haven't disappeared I'm in Turkey for summer holiday haven't managed to post much as no wifi in hotel room  rest of family worry about that more than me  have to walk down a few flights to get signal, anyway here are some totally unrelated pictures as only bike in marmaris are scruffy scooters cheap stuff so here is a pic of some more interesting holiday stuff until I return on 23 July hopefully   |

All ok thanks Nick just my luck I come over here for a holiday & something like that happens, all trouble is in Capital Ankara & Istanbul, the only thing I'm worried about is getting to airport & then form airport to Bristol it won't spoil my holiday though everything in resorts will be safe I do feel safer in marmaris walking around at midnight than I would in Taunton, real shame for turkey as all the resorts are around 40% down on trade due to the Russian problem & terriost attacks & a lot of folk have been put off, real shame as I've been going to turkey for the last 10 years & had great holidays there. this is getting a messed up world & just where is safe ? I think we all just have to carry on & what will be will be |

Back from Turkey now had a great holiday & wasn't spoilt by the problems over there, the Turks never got me but the pilot had a go as while landing at Bristol airport just as wheels were about to kiss the Tarmac the pilot aborted the landing & he hit the throttle & it seemed to take ages to get back to a flying speed in which he could climb for another attempt there were a lot of scared people in the cabin as no warning was given just a lot of noise from engines I have flown light aircraft so realised he aborted it I was just surprised how long the power takes on these planes to spool up, I recon his carbs needed a good clean  |

With everything going on in Germany/France/Turkey and the exchange rates the staycation should be more popular this year
Drove down to the West Country with the Caravan (yes Caravan don't laugh) yesterday - fantastic weather at Weston-Super-Mare yesterday but a miserable day today - went to see the Roman Baths in, where else, Bath

With everything going on in Germany/France/Turkey and the exchange rates the staycation should be more popular this year

Going back to the situation you were in - to be quite honest, I would have been bricking it - unless I was tanked up. I absolutely hate flying - seem to hate it more and more as I get older. Watching shows like 'aircrash investigation' probably doesn't help, mind. Glad you are back safe and well mate. |

Thanks Nick yep safe & sound I watch those Aircrash investigations as well but I love flying & it won't put me off as mile for mile nothing is as safe. |
