I reckon it all depends on a few factors such as the decals used (will he purchase or will you?) the relationship with them and their reputation.
Prices seem to vary wildy. I myself would look to pay around £150 to £200 for a good tank, side panels and tailpiece paint job - but not expecting the painter to source the decals at that money.

Like most things in life you get what you pay for unless you are pulling in favours

Another factor to consider is the choice of paint and laquer used. for instance if you are not going for a stock SD colour it might be a little cheaper because the paint shop can mix you up a known modern colour straight from their paint scheme. But if however you decide you want an original Honda SD colour like perhaps a very nice Candy Tanzanite Blue (the best choice obviously ), then that becomes a bit more expensive because they'll have to source the paint from elsewhere, as well as the special candy pearl laquer to go with it.
Cost wise though for a decent job and as long as your tank and panels are in fairly good shape then expect to pay about £200.

Great point Phil and a very important one that I forgot to include.
The condition of the tank is a big one......will it need chemically dipping beforehand? If so then add a bit of wonga on.
