MOT'ed the honda cbf250 and put it on gumtree, along with the zx7r and one of my srx 600..
Sick of grinding a 1250 bandit on the srx 600..rattted the expensive bike cover, exhaust trim, side casing, lovely..
But alas Not a bean..not even a sniff, absolutely no interest..
Then I thought stuff this and put the cbf250 onto autotrader as you can adverts under a grand for free.
Got a few txts, 200 quid etc best I can do, dogs ill etc ( yer do one matie )
Then nothing..watching tumble weed...for two weeks..
I was a bit sick of the side panel so I thought I'd dismantle it and pop them in for a respray and while they are in, I will do a few other little jobs , changing bolts etc just to tidy the bike up a bit. As I hate to sell a shabby looking bike, even though I was quite happy to never wash it and just chug round on it the few rain free weekend we have been having lately..
Fours days in and I am getting ready to chuck my mates idea of a blasting cabinet in the bin, as he got mugged a bit when he bought the complete system..Like getting a moped to tow a three bike trailer.. on a good day on the flat it will just about do it.. but when I turn up the carbs falling off and the brake sticking on and I was trying to go up Rockingham hill (12% gradient )..So not much luck their lol..
Then bang all of sudden every one body wants it..
Loads of txts and calls, i'll give you extra, I want it now!...sorry mate panels are in at the painters and he was telling porkies about when he would have them finished lol...
One guy has waited since Saturday to view and last night I got the call their done come and get them...so I chucked it back together after repairing the headlamp that had a bit snap off , just the bit that holds the front rim on...typical...
so Rode over to my mates house grabbed to cbf250 and dumped the bandit..nicked the mirrors off the bandit as I don't like them anyway and can't find the cbf250 mirrors in the cement mixer of a garage..
Rode it to Corby and start washing the bike got it sort and polished looking lovely..
Guy got lost, so I collect him and brought him back to the house...
The guy was doing my head in ask the same questions about the engine
Is their a warranty?, its normally sold as seen
"is it alright? will it blow up?" Eer well never did for me ...hang on will have a look in my crystal ball..you C*%t..
He then decides that he likes the bike and agrees to buy and F**k me can't find the paperwork..
Then he going on like its nicked... just Brilliant...But two others are after its as well so hopefully fingers crossed I will have sold it by the weekend...
And yes I did find the paperwork after thinking "did I leave it at ape's?"..just two juicy minutes after the guy left the house lol...
