Is it just me or has anybody else noticed that prices are finally on the up? I say this because after almost finishing my restoration for the second time I've noticed the cost of spares old and new are well up on a few years ago. it seems that they can ask crazy money for rusty crap on EBay let alone decent parts. Also as the NOS gets rarer it seems it's becoming a sellers market. The best money to be made these days has to be in breaking the bikes for spares (sad as it may be). when I first started restoring my bike I wouldn't imagine I could have sold it for much more than about five or six hundred pounds but I'm sure it's more than that now. Actually that's a good point, I wonder how much mine would be worth now? In money terms I suppose I've got about a thousand pounds in it but if I'd had to pay someone to do the work the man hours would be off the chart.

Its good in a way that they fetch a few quid more as then maybe the owners will start to look after them a bit better, and just maybe spend some money on them and not run them into the ground as I have seen, more times than I care to mention.
