Hi, all as the title says I'm new here, I'm a 50 something who is returning to a superdream after many years in bike wilderness. My job circumstances have changed, I now have to commute instead of 5 mins from my home! Made sense to pass my test ( did that yesterday) and get on with my project a 1979 250 which is at present stripped to the frame in my workshop. Paid little for it but was a mess, someone had taken the thick black paint to it, short mudguard etc and I think they call the brat look. So lots of help and guidance I'm probably going to need! I and a friend did do the same with a 1978 CG 125 which I still have and very proud! But it's time for the next step up and I decided a Superdream was the way to go! Who knows if all goes well- maybe a 400 next. So looking forward to arriving at the day it's complete and ready to roll. i live in the Midlands. well onwards and upwards as they say, do some more on it this morning as on afternoon shift this week. Looking forward to sharing and guidance from this forum. Wayne (Wanaron)

That's a nice lookin 400, it has to be said! Well I just think steady steady is the way to go- you hear so many times about middle aged guys jumping straight in on a 1000 cc or even bigger machine n quickly coming unstuck! I have been pooling about on my CG for a couple of years now but CBT was soon to run out so went for the test, managed to pass and rejuvenated my urge/ need to sort the superdream which I'm going to use to commute to work on; the 125 wasn't quite big enough! Not going to fo a concours winner or similar, just a tidy safe bike.

Hi Wayne, welcome along. Superdreams are great fun, to fettle & to ride, especially the 250, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
