I'm with MCE and enquired about adding a bike to my policy, it turns out it's cheaper to take a separate policy out with Bennetts with zero no claims bonus added.
Is this the norm? £90.00 fully comp compared to £114 to add on? And that only runs until March.

Seems to be now , I ended up with three different policies running and two with no NCD - not that it seemed to effect the price much anyway . Currently have just two policies and hope to just end up with one probably with Bennetts as they told me they could do "multi bike" but not with the policy I had ..... Insurance costs always seem a rule to themselves as I said it cost 87p to change from the NA to the SV650 .... Bring back a Ebike (that works!) or NU rider policies

I use Peter James to insure my few bikes on a classic policy with no NCB,you can add modern bikes to the policy and only £15 admin fee to add to policy, just added a 600 Silverwing to policy at cost of £22.Of course age/postcode/health etc.etc. dictate what you pay but PJ suits me as they pick phone up quick and know what they are talking about. If you change bikes often maybe worth considering

Both of us have multi bike policies with Aviva for about 130 quid each. I've got the 2 running SDs & Cb500 on mine & Gill has Virago 535, Ninja 250 & 125 SD on hers. They don't charge us anything to add/remove/change bikes, which is just as well in her case!

That what i noticed this year as multi-bike policy's have become a bit of joke. I'm with Hastings and they will only insure two bike and this year the price went up £30...so i start shopping around. I found that I could insure one with my NCB and the other on zero for the same money. Other companies that will insure more bike wanted £350 ish as hastings only wanted £151. i can insure a bike for around £80 fully comp so can easily beat 350.

I was with MCE for a while Fordy and found them to be f**king useless. I phoned them about my renewal as they don't send you a renewal price, just a letter so say call us on this premium number please. The guy I spoke to said it all when I asked a few questions, his answer was "I don't really know I'm just reading of a computer screen." Clueless bunch of tossers. (In my humble opinion )

SD Renewal due this Thursday - Triumph 21 due on 17th July - rang up Aviva today - "Sorry don't do multi-bike policies" - waste of 10 mins on the phone with them (you cant do bikes on-line with Aviva) - My mate who has 6 bikes has them all on one policy with Aviva - interesting how things change
Went on comparison site - renewal of my SD policy was £10 less buying it with BikeSure on the site than my renewal - good you may think- my renewal quote is from BikeSure - having said that after I e-mailed BikeSure they have honoured the online price for the renewal
May try Carole Nash (could not get on their site via work today as the security software thinks there is malware on the CN site

When my final policy needs to be renewed I will try harder to get a Multibike policy this time , Bennetts and Cn seem to be possibles , otherwise I am back to multiple "£80" policies , that seems to be the approx cost whatever the bike whatever the cover for me

I thought with Aviva you had to go through a broker? We were already with our broker for multi bikes, I think with Norwich Union. Whichever company it was, they dropped the 'ride another bike' clause, which was a tad inconvenient at the time 'cos I was riding her bikes quite a lot while mine were being rebuilt or repaired. Seems like good value at 130 quid for 3 bikes. I got a quote from CN the other week, but it was much dearer

Finally got a response from Bike Sure following challenge on a multi bike policy
SD was £93 - I can get Multipolicy to cover Triumph and SD £169
They will add BSA for another £10 but I then lose the BSA premium as no refund on current policy and insurance does not expire until Feb - If I wait until Feb to add the BSA they will charge the £10 plus £25 policy amendment fee
BSA Last renewal £65 Triumph Last renewal £75ish
Multi-bike all eggs in one basket - need to sleep on it
