Joined in for a mini classic bike meet   The engine on the little SD looks almost as big as the 850 Norton !!! |

Nice pic of a Mk3  , I had one in black/gold with the same pipes , very torquey and despite urban myth it always started on the electric start . Bought off a mate for £800 ,rebuilt & sold back to him for £2500 now selling for about twice that ......., he still has it and won't part with it again ! Could have sworn it won the cross country when it went in the field through the barrier shame it was doing well untill then ( Not the one in the picture obviously ) Took the picture before that incident, they probably converted the display bike from a cafe racer to a flat tracker after the race  |
