Is this a typical question from one of those ebay 'twats' who will never buy anyway - except for 3 pence. And then moan that there is a fly on the headlamp. Or is it a valid question?
It has been posed to someone selling a CB400.
"Hi how long have you had the bike , how many owners , when was it registered in the uk , any service history, tyre condition . does it ride alright . Would the bike get me back to england , I need a reliable bike ready to use now without any issues , My last bike was a 400 scooter biggest mistake I have ever made. Don't need that hassle again. Anyway your reply should help me decide. Thanks"

I take it the bike is 35 years old. What do they expect a guarantee. Even new bikes breakdown.

The last bike I sold- after stating quite categorically in the listing that the only work I had done was to change oil/filter and fit a new battery- and that the bike needed absolutely nothing else otherwise I would have done it?
"Hi, can you tell me what work you have done to the bike?"
You can sell bikes quicker on Ebay- especially if you will accept offers to swap it for a fridge........

That the thing - first sign of a timewaster - asking questions about what is already clear and stated in the listing. Just as in the example I posted above, 85% of what this person was asking was already stated in the vendor's listing.
