What do you mean when you say "Why chop summat about that is factory correct?" It looks as if I should explain what I meant. So what I meant to you was that if I'd bought any bike with the intention of chopping it about (i.e flat tracking it) I personally would not be bothered whether of not it had the engine it left the factory with - more important is that it runs right. Does it concern you that the bike does not have its original engine ? To me, it is a strange thing to be concerned about in this case - but this is just my opinion.

Oh I get you now lol...i misunderstood what you meant....I thought you were against me chopping it about...No it doesn't bother me in the slightest.. it runs great...

Just had it confirmed by David Silver website... I have a 1979 cb440n frame and a 1981 CM400E engine.. Now I know
