I heard a conversation related to this on the local BBC radio yesterday afternoon - made interesting listening. Basically a father is claiming his lad lost control of his bike due to the cats eyes in the road being too proud on a particular stretch of road. I must admit, some of them do seem a bit high sometimes and I have had a squeaky bottom moment whilst riding a bike with them (whilst overtaking in traffic). I wonder if anyone else has had a bad experience with cats eyes? www.worcesternews.co.uk/news/14522009.Broadway_man_to_sue_county_council_for_death_of_his_son/

good luck to his father, they are dangerous, even in a car it affects your steering when crossing them.

I notice the "spokesperson" for the council has remained anonymous, I'm not surprised considering the crap he was spouting, if they are not aware that the height of the cats eyes is breaking the legislation layed down, then its high time they got their fingers out and read up on it. It's so sad when something like this happens and my sympathy goes out to the family. I wish the father every success in his battle with the faceless, uncaring bureaucracy.

Don't have 'em here. Why? 'Cos they're dangerous to bikes!
