I'd opt for a battery that doesn't have acid that can possibly spill out of the overflow pipe,Motobatt are good but bright yellow I've recently put a sealed Yuasa on another bike I think they're called AGM batteries? There's another thread on here on this subject.Make sure you get the right sized battery to slot in space

YO43 postcode? Ooh thats wazzbo territory- check over the fence for a very small garden with loads of sheds in it!
Motobatt MB12U as above, but you need the plastic battery tray which I think I see still present in your photo. Hides the yeller.....

AGM batteries are great. The yellow Motobatts are in my opinion very good. I would say that as I sell them! I like them because they are just so hassle free, they work and they last, more importantly our customers like them.
We do sell a few 'wet' lead acid batteries - genuine Lucas batteries for British bikes and I shudder filling them with acid (we will fill and charge them for customers at no extra cost). A hundred years ago when I worked in bike shop we did this everyday, now handling acid seems so dangerous. One drop on your chrome and its buggered, a splash on your jeans and you'll get a hole in them next time they're washed. Plus they MUST be charged every 4 weeks or they start degrading.
AGM is the way to go.
