Hi all. After years of owning various bikes, I decided it was time to buy one with a bit of history and character. I have just turned 50 and wanted something to remind me of days past. Ltd,s and Gs,s were on the list but a super dream like my brother had came up and it was too good to bypass. I now own a 1978 400 super dream with only 4000 miles on it. Although it is in good condition for a bike of its age I am going to try and bring it back to showroom condition. I may well be asking for you guys expertise and advice.

[ Thanks for all the welcome comments..will have to learn how to comment , like , respond etc ,., My first question would be does any one know where I can lay my hands on an original tool kit as mine is missing. I have a feeling they may be like rocking horse manure !!

Yes your right rare as rocking horse manure, I would love a original tool kit but I would not use it as worth more kept in its little pouch

you can buy all the original tools at cms, strangely the toolkit is no longer available as a complete item, but the tools are, and the bag, though the bag is slightly different to the early one that I have. not cheap though, around 74 euros + postage and vat buying them individually works out about 8 euros+vat cheaper than the full tookit was when it was available. here`s a link to the page www.cmsnl.com/honda-cb250n-1978-england_model15802/partslist/F29.html#results

it worth checking if David Silver has them ,I just got a couple of the spanners from him, just enter the part number for them in silvers site to check availability, he`s usually a similar price to cms but postage is often cheaper
