I had one of these 25 years ago, and original exhausts were rare even then. Mine had been repainted, which probably helped preserve it, but I remember being narked 'cos Silvers had original decals for Superdreams, but not for 500/4s!  |

The paintwork on this one was marked and faded- but original. The new silencers almost looked too shiny for the rest of the bike, but from memory they will soon rust and rot! The owner rides it through the winter and just washes the salt off regularly- so the bike is not an ornament.
Makes me want to reactivate my CB550/4- but it will have to wait.....
