What is the model and engine size? It is like a Suzuki Van Van.

Nice - looks too clean to take down some muddy track though.

I was very tempted, shame there is no more room in the garage. Apparently it is a low mileage two owner bike.

I really like that and to be honest if Honda launched it today it wouldn't look out of place, with the Ducati Scrambler and Triumphs being very much on trend now. I take it these were never officially available in the UK.

The Americans loved these softroader versions of normal streetbikes- all the way from the beginning Honda would offer a street version as we would get and also these "scrambler" versions with just basically high level exhausts and knobbly tyres....

Built 1982-84 as the "Silk Road" these were mostly sold in Japan and Australia as more of an explorer or working farm bike. They were also sold in Germany in a restricted version where they still have a cult following. It sits somewhere between the XL250 and the CB250RS - good ground clearance plus a low seat height makes them bags of fun on back roads! They have a trials 5-speed gearbox - plus an extra-low crawler 6th gear which means that they can climb anything or out-plug a Land Rover... Only 50 were brought into the UK to try the market, and now only about 30 still exist. I own one for winding around the slim mountain roads of Snowdonia and love it! It's as cute as anything and you just have to love it! If you grew up in the 1960's, like me, then let me just say that this is exactly how the Triumph Tiger Cub Trials should have ended up - but with Honda reliability...
