hi chezzy Fit a new chain, easy to do if you split the chain and join the new one to the old one and turn the motor over by hand to wind the new chain round then rivit the new chain with a soft link. I`ve just done my 400, on my own, its easier if there are two of you. also, i have noticed on the later 400s without kick start there is a flat section on the case.. if a kick start case was added could the spindle and lever be fitted...? or are the internals different..?
