Hello everybody,My name is Andrew. I live in Lithuania. I am new in motorcycles, so as my first ever bike I purchased 1982 Honda 400n. Months before I decided to make a Cafe Racer project. It's now a month as I have it and everything is stripped out from the frame. I've kept my fingers away from the engine as it looked quite OK. That's for the introduction. But there are some isues bothering me. The main problem now is the rev counter gauge. I wanted to buy new speedo and rev counter, but the kit I want has no place for the rev counter cable. Is it possible to connect such gauge to my motorcycle, or should I keep looking only for rev counter gauges, which are cable running? Thanks in advance for any Help. P.S. Sorry for any writing mistakes (I am a foreigner)

Welcome to the forum Andrew.
I think it would be easier for you to find a cable driven rev counter if you can, I do not think it easy to fit an electronic rev counter.

Hi, Yesterday I came up with an idea. Perhaps it's possible to connect rev counter's signal wire to an ignition coil? In that case rev gauge could see how many rpm engine is going. Correct me if i'm wrong
