My mistake, it was a GT40 and it was in Hertfordshire.

Ha ha good old Noel I bet he would of never brought one Wasn't he more accustomed to driving his Lotus NAKED at 2am around the leafy lanes of Surrey back in those days......I think that's what he once claimed. In the 1980s, Bristol based TV presenter Noel Edmonds, who is well known for being a car fanatic, bought the V8 supercar. On one occasion he woke up in the middle of the night with the urge to take the low racer - which takes its name from being just 40-inches high - out for a high speed drive. At 4.30am, on the Tring Bypass, in Hertfordshire, he reached a speed of 186mph while completely naked. The TV star later created a furore when he recalled the episode. He said: "I thought I'd take it out for a breather, the poor thing was stuck in its stable and needed exercise. "I remember arriving at the roundabout horrendously fast, I almost didn't stop. Can I be prosecuted for that now?" Edmonds was able to reach this sort of speed thanks to a 4.7-litre V8 engine, located behind him, which developed around 375bhp. This gave the two-seater GT40 0-60mph acceleration in just 4.5 seconds and a top speed of around 200mph - a staggering speed for a 1960s machine. The TV presenter later sold the car and it has had a number of different owners with the latest custodian recently commissioning a detailed restoration. As part of the overhaul, the seat sat on by Noel during his naked jolly was reupholstered. It is currently owned by an American financier, who has a collection of more than 100 classic cars. He's also got an ex-London Taxi (or he did have) so that he could get down the bus lanes through Bristol traffic which is where Deal or no Deal is filmed.

Anyway, never mind all this Noel.....when are you going to come back to your senses and bring back Noel's House Party?
Saturday nights have never been quite the same without Crinkly Bottom.
