Happy New Year everyone! If you make one resolution let it be to get out and meet up with the rest of us for ride-outs, meets, etc. Everyone who has made the effort so far has thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Today at Crouchyland is a little get-together we have most years- open house for our friends to pop in and out. Most pop in, stay and drink all my beer TBH. But this year I had to agree we were too clogged up with bikes to be comfortable. Because they are all primed ready to go, some drunken fool usually tries to get on one and start it up, indicators and mirrors get banged and it all gets out of hand. That's just me- of course some of the guests also misbehave! Usually starts with a friend of a friend of a fiend not familiar with our strange ways expressing disbelief that we have motorbikes in the house. "Well we do there they are". Isn't that dangerous is the next question, don't they drip oil and petrol everywhere- oh but they must have been all drained and made safe? "No, they are all ready to ride". Surely not..... Then it gets noisy and out of hand... Anyway too many bikes in here for the day- So the 2 big ones have to be ejected- the CB1100 gets ridden into work as it needs an oil/filter change this week, and the CB900FZ has to go and sulk in the garage where it's cold and damp- The 2 SD's get wedged into the corners and we are ready for the guests! I probably still need to hide all the keys and warn everyone that we are a no smoking household... Have a great day!
