I've had my superdream 250n '79 from an ebay sale for £250. The guy was so desparate to get rid he rode it around and then got a bus back home. Ha! Since then I used it to get to work for a couple of years and then it got too noisy. But we had good fun stripping it down and learning the basics with it. Anyway I eventually got around to buying another engine for £60 and banged it on. Now it is my daily runaround and it needs some tlc. It lags at 6000 revs. I want to see if i can put different stuff on to get it running sweeter. Can you change the gearing in these bikes i wonder? Lots to explore here. Looking forward to reading the forums again, i used to come here lots. Can I add pics? Got some here.

Welcome back rattlincamchain, definitely worth checking the gearing. My 250 seemed sluggish when I got it, 'till I realised someone had put a larger rear sprocket on it, raising the gearing - great for straight, flat dual carriageways, I suppose, but not for twisty, hilly stuff. Liking the username btw!
