Strange yellow orb in the sky today- it seemed to make it very unseasonably warm and bright. So I was persuaded to bugger off out and leave her indoors in peace. Really nice to get on a bike again- especially on 20 December no less, and I ended up doing over 60 miles and visiting some old haunts from the summer. Sorry it wasn't on a SD, but it gave me a chance to empty the fuel tank on the CB1100 and refill with Aspen. Can you name these locations?

It's the Claxby NATS Radar Station- highest point of the Lincolnshire Wolds. I think Terry has had a ride out to it a while back. It was certainly a few degrees cooler up there.
You were correct on the other 2 of course....

You can see it from the high street can`t you? but not all of it, just the top ball and a little bit of the mast,I think it is is the one I was thinking of but could`nt remember exactly where it was. Its an age thing.lol

Yes, to the right as you head south on Caistor High Road. It can be seen as soon as you head out of Brigg TBH- quite a local landmark....

Are the sidepanels meant to be a mismatch to the tank? Or am I just out of touch? Try this sort of thing on a Super Dream and our names are mud.

What year is the cb1100, is it one of the newish retro ones. Looks brilliant. I like that it is oil cooled.

It's a 2013 model- first year Honda brought it to the UK after a lot of campaigning from customers. Current model has spoked wheels, 6 gears, 4-2 exhaust and a bigger fuel tank but has lost some of the original design idea IMO....
