Ah maybe the ones with the round tops are fake they do look very good copies if they are fake, I brought a genuine fake watch in turkey last year & it lasted 2 months I was very pleased & it still is spot on twice a day now

Yousa batteries are now made in China the main problem is how old the battery is when you get it,they have a shelf life go to yousa site on storage it goes in to great detail. The battery on the dyna lasted 6 years it's failure my fault let it go flat did not want to pay the £150 harley wanted got a yousa from a reputable sorse lasted 2 months got it changed same again then gave me a different make that lasted a week and let me down, did some grovelling and got a harley battery and still going strong the buell is even more fickle with batteries I do not know if I was just unlucky dave

Just use a Motobatt on anything with electric start its all I'd usenow! All my bikes have 6V sealed model batteries on them at the moment as I don't have anything with electric start. the T500 and SB being 12V have two 6V connected in series to make 12V.

Hi FB. I have just returned from Halfords with the Yuasa battery on the right. As you can see it has the push in plugs. It is to replace the Numax battery on the left that has never held it's charge very well even when new. I have put up with it for 2 years but thought, enough is enough. I have seen some good reviews on Numax batteries so maybe I was just unlucky, just see how it goes with a Yuasa. I have checked the charging system on the bike and all seems to be in order so can only asume the battery was to blame, if I put the Numax battery on charge for a few hours the bike would start on the starter but if left for a few days without charging then a start was very unlikely. All the best. Mike. All the best. Mike.

Bought one of those "intelligent" battery chargers from Aldi 6 weeks ago and the bugger packed up today obviously not so clever after all, back for a refund me thinks. What did you pay for the Yuasa Mikef? I was surprised to see after I'd bought one trade price for my Hardley Halfrauads were slightly cheaper online.

Hi Dave. £39.99. If it's better than the Numax then it will be worth every penny. Having said that, the SD is easy to kickstart, just glad that I have one. Mike.

Thanks all.....interesting. So who knows what is fake and what isn't these days with batteries and plugs etc? Maybe these current Yuasa's that we have with the push in plugs are licensed 'fakes'.......i.e made to a cheaper quality and sold in the mainstream places such as Halfords as one has been sourced via them by one of you.......either way, a battery lasting just over a year will do nothing to enhance trust and respect of the brand.....it will come back to bite them in the arse.

Hi FB. I agree that your battery lasting just over a year is pretty poor, your post made me reluctant to buy a Yuasa battery, but as they were available in Halfords and I could buy one straight away I thought I would give one a try. My Bantam has a Yuasa battery that is probably 6 years old and still holds a charge well, of course it does not have to operate a starter motor. I think it is good to "name and shame" sometimes, hence the reason I posted the bit about the Numax battery, my experience of it was absolute rubbish. Oddly enough I have seen some very good reviews for Numax. Very confusing!! All the best. Mike.

I held the watch up to the market seller and asked him could I really dive 25 metres. He smiled and said: "For sure...why not, but don't wear the watch"
