I so wanted to have an hours ride on the SD today before the dreaded salt gets used , the roads dry and quite mild but the winds far too strong here , maybe tomorrow !

Fantastic view I'm still riding mine as well until they start gritting we have been really lucky this year as no frosts & its into December hopefully can get a few more weeks riding before they get salt to the roads & spoil the fun, I use mine for work most days, but I will have to get the push bike out as soon as the grit lorry starts.

I,ve hardly been on the bike since the end of October , it,s 15 miles to work and takes close on an hour in the car and costs about £30 a week which really gets on my nerves , I used to cycle when I worked closer but it,s a little to far , been looking at getting a cheap 125 to use all year round .... The money I,d save on petrol would buy the bike ....

It is nice there ,Monsal Head nr Bakewell , there,s a pub and cafe around 30 yards from where my bike is parked , a great place to sit and watch the sun go down....

Last year I had a ride on my SD upto monsal on my 50th birthday , this is scribed onto a seat up there , if only it was true , I reckon I,m 18 , lol...
