However there wasn't much any interest which really surprised me as it had 10 months mot and only 38000miles. It does need tram and side panels resprayed but I would have taken around £800 for it. Maybe its the wrong time of year.

Gumtree seems really quiet of late (for example) so there does not seem to be much going on the market right now.....you are right I think it is a bad time.
But you only need one buyer of course. If it were me, I would put it on car and classic and Gumtree (these are both free) .....a lot less hassle than ebay also - there are some knob jockeys on ebay - seems to attract them like flies around a cow's behind if you are unlucky......and it can get draining some of the questions that get asked.
