Thought I'd share this link on the Forum....I'll hopefully soon be re-installing my stator and flywheel when I get it back from Rex's Speedshop. I came across this handy guide, I only wish I'd found it before I paid my local bike shop £40 to remove it...£40 for a 15 minute job...I'm obviously in the wrong trade. www.4-stroke.net/library/electrical-system-general/alternator-cb400

Thanks Rich, that's a good valid point. I've just had a look, if I slide a couple of 1/2" washers onto the square drive it backs it off well clear of the stator coils
