Hi,i joined recently but have not been back to the forum for a while.Im near Preston Lancashire and have been riding and repairing bikes since 1981 and worked as a mechanic in the trade for a few years.Ive forgotten how many bikes ive owned over the years,brit,american,italian ,german and japanese.I ride to work daily in all weathers,ive just picked up a 1979 Superdream in a very sorry state but it came with a 400 engine which is now sat in the frame,i have a 400 cdi box coming from Germany so that should sort the electrical side out but i need a set of 400 carbs as i believe they are different to the 250.Any help or info on my cafe racer project would be helpful.Cheers Phil.

Hi phil, welcome along. Might need to add a cdi to your list, they're different too, as are the carb to airbox rubbers, although your possibly ditching the airbox on a cafe.

Hi Ian,thanks for the info ,ive just sold sidepanels to a Ian on the Island via ebay That's me, a pair of mine have 2 out of the three lugs broken & have been repaired several times over the years. |
