Have just put the GS500E on the market as I have been offered another one stupidly cheap........so......anyway..... Got a text around midday today from a bloke claiming he is German and has been here since June. His text (in broken English) says that he wants my bike and is even prepared to pay a few hundred more.....the downer being that he would like to pay me with four installments. I reply saying that I might consider it.................... but if so, when would he like to collect the bike........and he comes back with 'after the first installment'. I had to laugh.  |

Must be the season- I got a text from a chancer offering just over half the asking price. When I texted back thanks but no thanks his next text asked me what bike I was referring to.
And an email from somebody in Eire saying that as they were a dealer and had to make a profit would I mind taking far less for the bike- also the exchange rate was causing a problem....

My last text to this 'German' guy was 'talk to a bank'. But all very nice. No 'F' words were used although they easily could of been.

It's been a funny old week even Ebay is having a go- my German guy sends an Ebay message stating that he was really interested but due to "business reasons" he could not bid- how much would I sell for? I just replied saying bidding was easy and to just use the same Ebay page he sent the message from. He went away....

Seriously though......would anyone swallow that (what he offered)? My fear is that some people may be so desperate for cash right now that they might........hmm.....got me thinking. |
