just taken a ride out tpo Lincoln to look at the Bomber Command Memorial only to find the site fenced off and it will not be open to the general public until 2017. s816.photobucket.com/user/davidmantle/embed/slideshowNot sure if done this right but am trying to share some photos I took

Like kickstart says its good to remember the fallen ,, But wot is that monstrosity they have put up , it looks awful ,should at least have got a plane of some kind to represent them ,,,

Not too pretty as mentioned but will serve purpose of being a memorial to all of the brave young lads that gave their lives,would be a good ride out destination for the forum? As would be the Arboretum in Alrewas.

Don`t go to the Memorial just yet , if anyone is thinking of it. The guard who let me on site , after I told him I cam all the way from Brighton just to see it ( only kidding -- live in Grimsby ) said the site won`t be completed until late 2016 early 2017. At the moment they haven`t even laid the approach road or even started the vistor centres foundations.
