If you really want to run it, Take the clutch cover and rocker cover off and have a look, if there is rust, forget it, If cleanish, keep it whirring on the starter to get oil round then....ignition. Good advice mate - thank you.

Looking at these pictures (and I'm not joking Dave) reminds me of seeing the aftermath of a fire. The devastation that takes place. Isn't it uncanny how be it through fire or otherwise, nature tries to claim everything back.....

What shade of red is that? It looks metallic! It's got more mirrors than mine. I'm jealous now! Mike

Trying to make my mind up.whats worse.the bike or the lawn The grass is real I can assure you Lozmund.......my mate is in love with nature and has to be surrounded by it. He is also an ex-eco warrior who tried to stop Twyford down.... Daniel Hooper is his name - google him.

The annoying thing is though that he is all over this bike - with magnifying glass, the works......told me not to disturb a nest of 'DEAD' mini beetles the other week (nesting on the steel rear mudguard section). I was like wtf....
He is a great bloke but not into bikes at all, just nature. Need to get this project up to the Midlands aysapp....

The first part to head to the dumpster.....along with the fried Taiwanese Lintek battery and crusty old rack remnants.

That is some weathering on the engine casings. I take it that despite the welcoming, dry background of a garage in the photos- the bike has been stood uncovered outside for some years?

That's about the size of it mate yes. Meaning that most of what you see will be chucked.
Basically I will be left with a frame and engine to work with.

These will be worth hanging onto.....generally always serviceable and valuable as spares.

So......next plan of action is to get the carbs off. Front inlet bands/clips came undone without issues......but the rear ones are a different ball game. Someone has attacked them in the past. The screws look well butchered meaning that the only option is to drill 'em off - tried to undo 'em but they are having none of it.
Will get the carbs back to Fungo towers and assess my next move. They will either be:
A) Cleaned
B) Replaced
