I bet it will be a cracker when you`ve finished it Nick, but you have some hard work ahead of you. I`ve every confidence in your restoration skills and I`m sure it will end up as another fine example of the breed.

Only the very early ones - frame numbers 2000020 to 413 had that extra white classy pin striping around the decalia.......

I've come to the conclusion that this machine is past the scrapping stage......there is simply nothing on it that is worth anything.....
Therefore it has to be restored......a no brainer.

In the historic aircraft world- they reckon you can officially restore a genuine Supermarine Spitfire just from the Data Plate....
