250 or 400?
Who is up for a wager? I have not opened them yet - but I will *****LIVE***** on this very forum later on tonight and see what we find in there......this will be live, not staged. Anything could go wrong.

Incidentally those carbs from the 250NA you broke (RYS) were also 'C' items.........was expecting them to be 'B'.......so at some stage, that bike had a carb swap.
What was the VIN number on RYS? That said, this question is probably irrelevant as I am pretty sure (without checking) the 'C' carbs appeared on the NB / NDB - therefore confirming my suspicion.

Yes- RYS had "C" carbs they have a different aircut cover to the "A"'s and "B"'s is the most noticeable difference.
I have for reasons unknown to me acquired one set each of "A", "B" and "C" VB31B and spent some time the other day looking at the differences. As I say- was surprised to note all had adjustable floats....

Paul......you were right. The floats in these carbs are indeed the adjustable type. I feel that this could be the end for me.....it is time for me to resign I think.

I think the adjustable floats are better anyway, as it you fit aftermarket needle jets they need tweaking a little to maintain the 15.5mm float height due to the longer sprung pin in them.
