Hi guys, a neighbour sold me a Yamaha Dragstar 125cc over the weekend, he bought it for his young lad who moved on to sports cars, they lost the log book but they are honest hardworking people who I have known for decades so I have no worries there, just have to do some paper work with them on it. Neither are big into paperwork. The V engine looks nice and sounds nice, and the bike looks more like a 500cc except for the narrow wheels, I rode it around the yard and it feels like a wheel barrow, and it reminds me of a sausage dog, it's way to low for my liking. I will certainly sell it on after I play with it for a while. Anyone ever build up a jap cruiser to make it look more like Harley,, I mean higher the tank and the seat Anyone here ever had one of these

Well, I took my Dragstar out for about a 45 minutes hour around a truck yard & industrial estate today in the sun, it actually feels very comfortable to ride, the low centre of gravity feels safe and easy to control, engine feels and sound beautiful, very mild engine not much power but the petrol tank seemed to have more petrol in it after I finished then before I started, so it is a miser on fuel. Although the low look of cruisers never appealed to me, it is however very functional. If I keep it then the Dragstar badge will have to go off the tank. 'Dragstar' or 'Virago' what were Yamaha thinking of or who were they marketing it to. Would anyone here know if the badge is likely stuck on with glue or mechaincally fixed on in some way. Incidentally it feels a lot more sluggish than my Suzuki GS125, but the seat is brilliant.
